Afpet Prepaid Account
The Afpet Prepaid Account lets you pay for diesel upfront and fill with an Afpet account card. It works for a family with a single bakkie and for a business running a full fleet.
You load the account, your drivers fill, and you get a message every time money comes in or diesel goes out.
How it works
You top up your account by EFT. Your driver hands the Afpet account card to our attendant before filling, we check the balance, and then we fill. Cards only work while the account has a positive balance, so spending never runs past what you loaded.
Top-ups are allocated during office hours and bank transfers can take up to two business days to clear. Load ahead of time and the low balance warning will tell you when it is time again.
You can open a personal or a business account. For a personal account we only need the ID of the main account holder.
Real-time notifications
You choose who gets notified, by email, SMS or both. They receive a message:
- Every time a purchase is made
- Every time a payment is received
- When the balance drops below an amount you set
Every message shows the current account balance. A full statement follows on the 1st of every month.
One card or one per vehicle
With a single card, the card stays at Afpet and every vehicle on the account uses it. It is protected by a 4-digit PIN that only your drivers know.
With a card per vehicle, each card can carry its own PIN and an optional odometer number for tracking fuel consumption. Odometer tracking only works if the vehicle fills up at Afpet alone.
Detailed reporting per vehicle
When every vehicle has its own card, your statement breaks down litres and rands by vehicle. We can also capture odometer readings at the pump. If your vehicles fill only at Afpet, that gives you a clear picture of each vehicle’s fuel use.
Less cash, less fuel fraud
Your drivers carry a card, not cash. Every fill is recorded against your account and reported to you the moment it happens. A fill at an odd hour or a volume that does not match the vehicle stands out straight away.
Rebates that grow with your volume
The more diesel you buy on your account, the higher your rebate. Talk to our sales team about the rates for your volumes.
